So I found this on my computer. It's from a little journey I did on the DLR. I'd love to explore this area further and do a longer comic style report of the things I've spotted.

So this was a baby I spotted on the train. He was transfixed by one of those foil blankets that marathon runners wear.

New painting!

So, after spending ages working on my new board it's finally ready! I've been painting it at Heatham House youthclub and it's going to be on display as part of their ARThouse open studios. There will also be work by Skyhigh and Simon Taylor among others. The show will be on for the next couple of weekends, so pop down if you're in SW London.

Art Blossom Japan

I've created a print for the charity Art Blossom Japan. They are another organisation set up to raise money for those affected by the recent disasters. My image was inspired by the idea of a Japanese manga-ka creating a manga comic. Check their site for a chance to buy the print and lots of other Japan inspired work!

Art for Japan

I've donated a copy of my Drive Back print to the Art for Japan market this Sunday. It's a charity event to raise money for survivors of the earthquake and tsunami. You can find out more about it at their blog. Please come down if you're in London that day, it should be really good!

Westminster Show

Here are a few pics from my show at the library. It's such a cool space, with all the art books around and right in the centre of town. I got to choose which books went on the table by the window too! It's on for two more days, so pop down if you can!!

New show!

I'm going to be having a show at Westminster Reference Library starting next Tuesday 5 April. It's a great art library, with the second and third floors being dedicated to art and design books. They normally stay open until 8PM on weekdays. Check it out if you're in the area :)

First Pencil It! workshop

So, I had my first experience of running an art workshop last week with the start of the Pencil It graphic novel season. I did a short workshop on drawing a scene and chibi manga artist Declan Talbert showed how to draw a chibi style character. The workshop was well attended and was followed by a talk by Paul Gravett and comic artist Ilya.

Yes! Comic strip

So, this is a new comic strip

Brighton show

On Friday night I made the mission down to Brighton on the train to put a few more pictures up in an open house event I'm doing there. There was thick snow on the tracks and fields on the way down, making loads of sparks as the train went over it. We had to wait at each station while they cleared the ice from the doors, as it was stopping them from closing properly. The next morning the snow was gone but it started to rain like crazy. So, not that many people made it to the show. It's on today and then the next weekend (11th and 12 December). Pop down for a chance to see my comic strips available as prints!

Mon Amour show

I've got some work on display in the Mon Amour boutique in Brussels. You can get a Eurostar over and check out the Belgian comic strip centre, Hergé museum and also some great comic book murals in the streets!

Nightwatching

So, this is my competition entry to this year's Random House and Comica Graphic Short Story Competition. I was inspired by various jobs I've done over the years and also by some of the views and spaces at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
